Bike tour Mile 0 Holy Fuck!

I am writing this today, April 30th, 2009, as I am about to embark on a life changing journey at a critical time in my life. I have come to a crossroads. It has come to the time that I must face my fears. Fears, that will no doubt be like any other I have seen thus far. I will be sharing this amazing, and potentially heart-breaking journey with my thoughts, and my beloved bicycle. I am both excited and terrified at the same time. Afraid of being alone for the first time in my life, and maybe even facing knowingly the prospect of failure. The single most important thing from this is that I am trying something new, and for me, out of the ordinary My route will bring me south, but my heart will stay up north where I hope to return, where I belong. With each pedal rotation I will be working towards a future filled with happiness and joy. I want to prove that I am right about what I want in this life. The uncertainty of what may lie ahead will be weighing heavily on my mind, with potential heartbreak at the finish line. The actual riding itself will be very mentally and physically exhausting, but I am ready for that challenge.

With all that said, I would like to thank all the people who have gone out of their way to offer me help. I appreciate all of you for helping me to help myself.

Ben, you have no idea how much of my life you are directly responsible for. Thank you, I love you big brother.

Parker, Jason and Nicole, Walter, Scott, Natalie, Ann, Mike and Andrea, Matt, Alex, Jeramiah, and everyone at Ninth Sreet Espresso, thanks for your help.

I really want to say thank you to Jonathan and Bicycle Habitat. You rule!

Mom and Dad, see you in Florida.

Jen, I hope we will feel like we are 19 again when I get home. I love you more than you could ever know.

Wow, have an amazing time. Very brave of you. Watch out for the crazies on the road who think you're worth 500 points.

Definitely will stay glued to your blog to see all that you're living.
